this what I had got so far CuO + H2 --> Cu + H20 We need to figure out the charges on each of the elements (+2)(-2)..(0) -->(0)..(+1)(-2) Cu goes from a charge of +2 to 0 H goes from a charge of 0 to +1 One is gaining electrons and therefore reduced One is losing electrons therefore oxidized
that the part I need help on
CuO + H2 -->Cu + H20 right
