What mass of sulphur trioxide is formed from 96g off sulphur dioxide?
\[2SO _{2} + O _{2} \rightarrow 2SO _{3}\]
@iambatman @iknowplaces13
Hey, According to the stoichiometric ratio we can see the no of moles of SO2 used is equal to the no. of moles of SO3 cuz they both have the same stoichiometric number ! 1) Find the no. of moles of SO2 \[n= \frac{ m }{ M}\] n= no. of moles m= mass of SO2 M= Molar mass of SO2 2) No. of moles of SO2 = no. of moles of SO3 So use the same equation \[n = \frac{ m }{ M }\] Here we know no. of moles and the molar mass so we have to find 'm' So Substitute the values and get the answer !
