OpenStudy (iwillrektyou):

Can someone please explain Boyle's Law and Charles's Law for me? I understand both, but I often get them confused. I have a test Wednesday, and can't get much explanations. Please help!

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Boyle's law For a fixed amount of an ideal gas kept at a fixed temperature, pressure and volume are inversely proportional. \[P \alpha \frac{ 1 }{V }\] Charles's law When a gas is held at a constant pressure, its volume is directly proportional to the absolute temperature.
