You have two sealed jars of water at the same temperature. In the first jar there is a large amount of water. In the second jar there is a small amount of water. Using 3 -4 sentences explain how the vapor pressure of water in the first jar compares with the vapor pressure of water in the second jar. help please

Nice question

OpenStudy (photon336):

Vapor pressure is proportional to temperature. that means that as the temperature increases, so does the vapor pressure and think of it this way. The vapor pressure goes up because there are more particles that can escape to the gas phase. I'm not exactly sure but I think the second jar with the lower water level may have the higher vapor pressure.

turns out the volume of the water doesn't affect vapor pressure. As @Photon336 said, vapor pressure has a strong relationship to temperature https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Qgg2A7rKug

@peachpi interesting I thought for a second that it would be the same. nice video btw
