what informations we can know from energy level diagram "exothermic / endothermic" ?
Exothermic reactions are reactions where heat is lost to the surroundings. So the enthalpy is negative. Endothermic reactions are reactions which where heat is absorbed. So The enthalpy is positive.
We know enthalpy change = enthalpy of products - enthalpy of reactants.
We can also know about the reaction type. If the energy of products are high it is endothermic. If the energy of products are low it is exothermic. !
So ya what do u think @Woodward
thanks @Rushwr helpful :)
anytym :)
@meme1298 look at the following graph; |dw:1442429214134:dw| notice that the exothermic reaction the energy for the products is lower than the reactants, this means that energy has left our reaction or been released. We do this by taking the Delta H = H products - H reactants. notice for the endothermic reaction that the products have more energy, at a higher position than the reactants
