OpenStudy (blackstreet23):

The minimum distance required to stop a car moving at 32.0 mi/h is 42.0 ft. What is the minimum stopping distance for the same car moving at 61.0 mi/h, assuming the same rate of acceleration?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use \(v_f^2=v_0^2+2ad\) to find the acceleration. You're going to have to convert 32.0 mi/h to ft/s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then use the same formula to find the distance for the new velocity
