A 1.50-liter sample of dry air in a cylinder exerts a pressure of 3.0 atmospheres at a temperature of 25°C. Without change in temperature, a piston is moved in the cylinder until the pressure in the cylinder is reduced to 1.0 atmosphere. What is the volume of the gas? What law is used?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.50 x 3.00 = V x 1.00 atm ( Boyle's law) V = 1.50 x 3.00 / 1.00 = 4.50 L
