which coefficient should be placed in front of nacl to balance this equation

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Which equation dear? Can u repost it as a comment ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BaCl2(aq) + Na2CO3(aq) mc017-1.jpg BaCO3(s) + NaCl(aq)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

forget about the mc 017-1jpg stuff

OpenStudy (rushwr):

\[BaCl _{2} + Na _{2}CO _ {3 } \rightarrow BaCO _{3} + NaCl\] This is your equation right?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

So if that is ur equation NaCl will have 2 in front. As u can see in the reactants side (left side) There are 2 molecules of Na and 2 molecules of Cl. Those molecules can't be destroyed or taken off right? So both the molecules should participate in the reaction resulting in 2 NaCl. Because as we can see NaCl has one molecule from each cl and Na. I hope u are getting what I'm trying to say.
