Can someone please help me figure out how to find the mass % concentration of an unknown solution? I found the masses and volumes of 4 known solutions (2% NaCl, 4% NaCl, 6% NaCl, and 8% NaCl) and used this data in the Excel LINEST function. I'm supposed to use the resulting equation and the calculated density of the unknown solution to find the mass % concentration. I don't want someone to just do it for me- that's why I didn't list actual values- but I have no idea how to even start.
Can you post the actual problem, maybe? :\
I am not very familiar with LINEST function but I assume that will give you the slope of your curve and/or the y-intercept. with that values and the value of your unknown density you can be able to find the mass% of your unknown. the equation of a line is y = mx + b were "y" is your density, "m" the slope of the line, "x" the mass% and "b" the y-intercept
