A sample of methane gas, CO, has a volume of 299 mL at 33°C and 0.52 atm pressure. How many moles of CO² are present?

OpenStudy (surry99):

Hint: Use the ideal gas law

OpenStudy (surry99):

BTW , methane is CH4 not CO

OpenStudy (abb0t):

It's a product of combustion.

OpenStudy (surry99):

1) The problem does not indicate a combustion reaction. (CH4 + O2...) 2) Only with the incomplete combustion of CH4 would one get any carbon monoxide (CO)
