An 75kg Hollywood stuntman is being pulled along a dirt road at a constant velocity of 5 m/s by a rope attached to a truck. If the coefficient of friction between the man and the road is 0.8, what is the tension in the rope (answer in Newtons)? Assume that the rope is always parallel to the road. Consider air resistance to be negligible.

let the tension in the rope is T now , as the velocity of the block is constant the net force on the block must be zero T - frictional force = 0 T- 0.8 * m * g = 0 T- 0.8 * 75 * 9.8 = 0 T = 588 N tension force in the cable is 588 N
