I need help understanding quantum numbers. The specific question I am working on right now is asking for the set of 4 quantum numbers for the highest energy electron in Te. I have no idea how to even begin the question. Please help!

OpenStudy (photon336):

Well @Adri17 consider if we have carbon which has 6 electrons. there are four different quantum numbers: n = the principle quantum number that's the energy level we're at. like going down a group the energy levels get higher, makes sense because there are more electrons. l = tells us the shape of our orbitals. mL = the orientation this can be from -l to 0 to positive l but never greater than l the fourth quantum number is the spin which is +1/2 or -1/2 corresponds to the spin of the electron whether it's spin up or spin down. ill show you the quantum numbers for carbon .

OpenStudy (photon336):

let's take carbon for example
