Which of the following would increase the rate of a chemical reaction? A. Reducing the temperature. B. Increasing volume. C. Using reactants in fine, powder form, rather than large, chunky form. D. Decreasing reactant concentration.

Reducing the temperature generally slows down a reaction, so that can't be the answer. Increasing the volume reduces the pressure, which in turn slows down a reaction, so that can't be it. Using reactants in fine, power form would increase surface area ( think back to your previous question.) Decreasing concentration will reduce collisions between reactants, so that can't be it.

Thus, your answer has to be C.
