Here, maybe instead of giving you the answer, someone could show you how to get it yourself and actually help you in a productive way... \[2x-4 = \frac{4x-5}{3}\] Start by multiplying both sides by \(3\) to eliminate the fraction. \[3(2x-4) = 3*\frac{4x-5}{3}\]\[6x-12 = \cancel{3}\frac{4x-5}{\cancel{3}}\] \[6x-12 = 4x-5\]Add \(12\) to both sides \[6x-12+12 = 4x-5+12\]\[6x = 4x+7\]Now subtract \(4x\) from both sides \[6x-4x = 4x-4x+7\]\[2x=7\]Finally, divide both sides by \(2\) to give you \(x\) alone on one side, and its value on the other: \[\frac{2x}{2} = \frac{7}{2}\]\[x=\frac{7}2\] General idea is you can do anything to an equation as long as you do the same thing to both sides. Just keep doing stuff to simplify it until you have your variable alone on one side.
