So i did a lab today and i have to find the theoretical yield of copper i know how to find the theoretical yield im just a little confused here is are my results for the lab Mass of Mg used: 0.301 Moles of Mg used:1.248 *10^-2 Mass of Copper produced:.118 grams Moles of Copper produced:1.85 *10^-3 Mg/copper mole ratio: 7:1 Correct equation: Mg(s)+CuSO4---> MgSO4 +Cu all I am missing is the theoretical, actual and percent yeild. I need some guidance Please =)
mass of copper produced should be .118 grams
So the theoretical yield is like how many grams of products you would expect based from the chemical reaction
Experimental yield is what you get from doing the lab
ok so 2Cu? would be what i would use
You mean CuSO4 right? Limiting reagent can only be one of the reactant(s) what you start out with
