Find the speed of a point on the eim of a 24-cm diameter flywheel which is turnibg at 2800 revolutions per minute. Give your answer in metres per second.

there are 2 ways to solve this: the speed of a point in circular motion is r * omega where r is the RADIUS of the circle omega is angular velocity in RADIANS per sec so if you can convert radius to metres, and revs/min to rads/s then this is ht simplest formula alternatively the diameter of the circle is 2pi r (where r is th eradius) so work out the circumference in METRES it trvels round this circumference 2800 times in 1 minute so find th total distance travelled in 1 min - then convert to seconds
