That definitely works @jango_IN_DTOWN or you could (more easily) substitute in the x-values and see if it results in a zero. The zero of a function is the value of x such that f(x)=0. If you plug in the various x-values, you can quickly see whether or not it results in a zero for this function. While this is not a "proof," it is nonetheless a quick way of dispatching a multiple choice problem of this nature.
