Graph a triangle (XYZ) and reflect it over the line y=x to create triangle X'Y'Z'. Describe the transformation using words. Draw a line segment from point X to the reflecting line, and then draw a line segment from point X' to the reflecting line. What do you notice about the two line segments you drew? Do you think you would see the same characteristic if you drew the line segment connecting Y with the reflecting line and then Y' with the reflecting line? How do you know? @Learner11

Well, this sounds as if you simply have one triangle with designated original points for X, Y, and Z and you simply have the opposite on the other end. Based off of the question you simply have each point a certain distance away form line, so... perhaps you have XYZ located at (3, 2), (2, 3), and (1, 5) for example, the reflection would be that the lines are x away from the y-axis, so you would have X'Y'Z' points located at (-3, 2), (-2, 3), and (-1, 5), same numbers, it's just on the other side. Now when you draw X or X' to the center line, which would probably be the Y-axis, then you would have exactly a 3 digit difference, after all you have (3, 2) going to (0, 2) and (-3, 2) going to (0, 2), it would be the same for the others because the x coordinate has the same distance away from the reflecting line which I said was the Y-axis.
