OChem: Will award a medal: To make 475 mL of 1.0 M NaOH, use __ of NaOH and __ mL of Water

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you get 1000 mL of Water

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

yea the numbers didnt seem right im trying to think through the question

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

for the blank next to NaOH what do they want? Im assuming the moles of NaOH.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Ok I think I understand what the problem is asking

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

So for this they want the end result to be a 1.0 M NaOH solution so we must use 475mL of water |dw:1445833256664:dw|

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

I didnt realise in my first attempt that .475mL must be used but this should be the correct process above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so what do we do about the 2nd blank?
