Electron Configuration...
Lets work through these in order. Li+: Li normally had 3 electrons. Li+ means that 1 electron has been taken away. This means the electronic configuration is 1s2. Fe2+: Fe normally has 26 electrons. Fe2+ means that it has 2 electrons taken away. This means the electronic configuration would be 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p6 4s2 3d3 Cl-: Cl normally has 17 electrons. Cl- means that is has 1 more electron added on. This means the electronic configuration would be 1s2 2s2 2p6 3s2 3p5 N3-: N normally has 7 electrons. N3- means that it has 3 more electrons added on. This means the electronic configuration would be 1s2 2s2 2p6 Mg2+: Mg normally has 12 electrons. Mg2+ means that it has 2 electrons taken away. This means the electronic configuration would be 1s2 2s2 2p6 From this information we can conclude that N3- and Mg2+ have the electronic configuration of 1s2 2s2 2p6. I hope this helped!
Wow thanks so much 😄
