Mn2+(aq) + H2O2(aq) → MnO2(s) + H2O(l) (in basic solution)

Do you know the steps for balancing redox reactions in acidic solution? (I'm aware that this is for basic solution.)

If you're trying to balance this equation then I believe it would be Mn2+4H2O2--2MnO2+4H2O

@ally_lydia4l This is an oxidation reduction reaction, meaning there is a transfer of electrons. We can know this by assigning the oxidation numbers; the oxidation numbers change from the reactant side to the product side. Although you balanced the atoms, the electrons are not.
