Can someone help? This is precalculous and I don't understand how to prove this mathematical induction 1^2 + 4^2 + 7^2 + ... + (3n - 2)^2 = n(6n^2 – 3n – 1)/2

The reason I was able to make those wacky rearrangements in part two was because I worked the problem backwards on scratch paper. Usually for an induction proof it isn't necessary to show how you figured it out. It is just enough to prove it works.

It took me forever to really get it. It is kinda like dominos. You show one of them, you show that if one is good their neighbor is good, and boom its done. Good luck with your studies! Oh yeah I'm using answering questions here as a way to procrastinate but still feel like I am being useful, cheers!
