imqwerty (imqwerty):
\[f^{-1}(x) \]
^this represents the inverse of the function f(x)
so basically u need to find the inverse function of the function f(x) which is given to us
:)
do u knw how to find the inverse of any function?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i don't know nothing bro
imqwerty (imqwerty):
its ok
i'll tell u hw to do that
its not at all difficult
imqwerty (imqwerty):
u have this-
f(x)=7x+12
here f(x) is y
so
y=7x+12
1st step to find out the inverse is to isolate x
y=2x+12
y-12=2x+12-12
y-12=2x
(y-12)/2=2x/2
(y-12)/2=x
So now we have isolated x
2nd and the last step is to switch x with y and y with x
(y-12)/2=x
(x-12)/2= y
here y is- \[f^{-1}(x)\]
so we now have our inverse function as-\[f^{-1}(x)=\frac{ x-12 }{ 2 }\]

bro

\[sin(x) = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse}\]
so \[sin(38) = \frac{24}{x}\]\[x = 24.sin(38)\]
