Pick an appropriate solvent to dissolve vegetable oil (nonpolar). Water (H2O) Acetone (CH3COCH3) Methanol (CH3OH) Ethanol (CH3CH2OH) Hexane (C6H14) Diethyl ether (CH3CH2OCH2CH3) Toluene (C7H8) Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)
@Photon336
I chose 4,5,6,7 as my answer and it isnt right. Those are all non polar too 1 starting at the top
Probably would also be a non polar solvent. Remember like dissolves like
Probably would be just hexane and carbon tetra chloride both of those compounds are non polar
I think it would also be di ethyl ether too
not right. toluene is non polar as well
Consider equal volumes (say 1 L) of a given substance in the solid, liquid, and gas phases. Arrange them in order of decreasing mass based on the trend for the average substance. If the mass difference between samples is relatively small (10% or less), rank the items as equivalent.
why is liquid and solid going to have the same mass. I finally got the right answer but I don't know how or why solid and liquid havve same mass
Yeah I had to look up the structure for that it's just a phenyl group with a methyl group. That's non polar
wtf it won't accpt that as an aswer...
this is so frustrating...
