At what value of x does the graph of the following function F(x) have a vertical asymptote? http://media.apexlearning.com/Images/200707/22/be13b8a7-4eac-4529-8383-7b5d79760ec5.gif

OpenStudy (jadedry):

for this function: \[f(x) = \frac{ 2 }{ x-2 }\] When the denominator is 0, it's at that point that you would have a vertical asymptote. (which dictates where the graph /cannot/ go. ) therefore, if x-2 = 0 x =2 you would have a vertical asymptote at x=2

thank you so much
