OpenStudy (lilsis76):

Major help. A .110 nm photon collides with a stationary electron. After the collision, the electron moves forward the the photon recoils backwards. Find the momentum and Kinetic Energy of the electron.

OpenStudy (lilsis76):

I know momentum will be \[: p=\frac{ h }{ \lambda }\]

OpenStudy (lilsis76):

@nincompoop do you think you could help me with this?

OpenStudy (wmj259):

Basically this is a type of elastic collision.

OpenStudy (lilsis76):

Okay @wmj259 I figured it out. I kept adding the 1 instead of subtracting it.
