How do you graph inequalities and how do you find the inequality of a graph? For example, graph 4x-y>6. *Sigh* will give medal~
you solve for y, as this will give you an equation similar to that of a regular equation
so, in cases like this, you're going to want to isolate for y
4x-y>6 -4x -4x ------- -y>-4x+6 Now y is all by itself. So there is one last step we need to know in order to be able to graph this inequality. @sarenemun do you know what that would be?
do you understand? :)
hmmm
the y-intercept?
so it's like graphing regular equations but you just shade one side or something??
correct! But when solving for y, don't forget to change the direction of the inequality if you are dividing by a negative. Which is what you will have to be doing here
Since this seems like a relatively simplest equation, you want to find an equation that you could easily graph. luckily, you could get this to slope-intercept form.
ah ah, okay thank you :) :) :)|dw:1447717818593:dw|
