Graph the equations

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

mkay, I'm here :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Me too

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

lovely....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg a british minecrafter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats like a german COD fan

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Okay, so here, we'll have to plot the points and then "connect the dots". Do you have something you could do this like on paper?

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sleepyjess is typing a reply...

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Okay, so what do you think the first point will be for the equation 40*x = t?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ugh no HTML compatibility

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

(4,200) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sleepyjess is typing a reply…

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Not quite, we'll want to put in 1 for x to get the first point

OpenStudy (anonymous):

DeadReaper2073 and sleepyjess are typing replies…

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Stop spamming posts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sleepy jess I lvoe you

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

i think hes gone

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Okay, so for the first point, we'll do 40*1 to find the y, and whatever we put in for x is going to be what we use as x on the graph, does that make sense?

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

yes

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

So the first point will be (1, 40)

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

And I would get one or two more points then just continue the line :)

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

okay one second

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

He is one reason why ambi's need some powers...

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

so (1,40), (2,80), (3,120), (4,160) etc

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

do i graph both of the equations??

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Probably

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

so like this @sleepyjess

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

i only graphed the first equation

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Okay, now the second one will be a little different because we have to add in that extra step of adding 150

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

okay, how will it work?

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

do we add 150 to each point for y?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Well, the price with the group rate is 25, so (25*1) + 150, (25*2) +150, etc.

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Yep, you got it :)

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

so you would graph (1,25) without the extra cost. would it become (1,175) ?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Yes, but don't graph it without the added 150

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

okay got it

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

im done but it might be kind of hard to see

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

@sleepyjess

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

What are your points for the second line?

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

They should be something along the lines of (1, 175), (2, 200), (3, 225), etc.

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

*facepalm* i see lol

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

okay this should be better

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

That looks much better :)

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

good. i think that is all for now. ill mention you if i need any help. thanks

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

No problem! You were fun to teach :)

OpenStudy (isuckatschool43):

you were a fun teacher lol. have a nice day
