Hello. I have tried this question three times and have gotten three different answers-none of them correct :( Please help! I will post a picture of the question to make it easier. What I tried: I tried finding the volume of the cone and then inputting that into the equation for the volume of the sphere, then trying to make r the subject.

so \[\frac{ 4 }{ 3 }\pi r ^{3}=50.06\]
solve for r what do you get?

I multiplied by 3, divided by 4, divided by pi and then found the cubed root
yes, the procedure is right, but i seem to get 2.88 do you know what the right answer is? what value did you use for \(\pi\)?
The answer is supposed to be 2.29 when rounded. I used my calculator value
maybe I press the wrong button? I will try again...

I got it...I used the square root not the cubed root on the last step....I am so sorry!
ok, lets do it this way \[\frac{ 4 }{ 3 } \pi r^3=\frac{1}{3} \pi \times 2.4^2 \times 8.3\]
\(\pi ~and~ 1/3 \) cancel leaving \[4 r^3= \times 2.4^2 \times 8.3\]

I was pressing the wrong button to get the cubed root and I was getting the squared root instead...
\[r^3= \frac{2.4^2 \times 8.3}{4}\]
