Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Let's start with the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hint: look at the ticks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know for a fact that it's congruent just dont know how to explain it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Well you have that those sides are congruent, what else can you use to prove that the triangle is congruent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the angles

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

which angles specifically?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

You're on the right track, just say which angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont even know i'm confused on this

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

|dw:1449774772196:dw| sorry I'm a horrible artist! But the sides bisect one another. So the angles in between them would be congruent. I forget which property that is. It might be definition of a bisector. But that proves the first one to be congruent by SAS

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

It could also be vertical angles are congruent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol, your not that bad cause I understood! I think it's vertical angles

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Yeah it's most likely vertical angles. Let's move on to the 2nd one you put

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay :3

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Okay so they gave us the right angle. There's another SUPER obvious statement that can be used to prove congruence, do you know what it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sides on both triangles are congruent ?

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Well look at the diagram. The triangles share one side. Which means it's equal to itself. Do you know what property this is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure no

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Here's a hint! A=A looks like a mirror. It's reflecting the other side.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Reflective property

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Reflexive, exactly!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wow lol

Theoceangirl (the_ocean_girl):

Lol yep!
