OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

A neutral atom has the atomic number 16 and a mass number of 33, how many protons, neutrons, and electrons are found within the atom? 33 protons, 33 electrons, and 16 neutrons 16 protons, 17 electrons, and 16 neutrons 33 protons, 17 electrons, and 17 neutrons 16 protons, 16 electrons, and 17 neutrons when I search just "atomic number 16 and a mass number of 33", it comes up with Sulfur so I think that's the atom, but it has 16 protons, electrons, and neutrons and that's not an option?

I really do not know. I am sorry. :(

In a neutral atom: atomic number = number of protons = number of electrons. number of neutrons = mass number - atomic number.

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

so D? @peachpi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

Thanks!
