Precaluclus need help will give owl bucks most needed help for test tommorow

OpenStudy (matlee):

A=70 , a=7 , b=4 ; B=?

OpenStudy (matlee):

For each traingle, determine the indicated value

rishavraj (rishavraj):

here apply the sine rule.....It says \[\frac{ a }{ \sin A } = \frac{ b }{ \sin B }\]

rishavraj (rishavraj):

According to sine rule \[\frac{ a }{ \sin A } =\frac{ b }{ \sin B } = \frac{ c }{ \sin C }\]

OpenStudy (matlee):

Hello sorry had to get something

OpenStudy (matlee):

How do u know which one is which rules , is there a easier way to know like the letter itself or only the phrases state that its possible

rishavraj (rishavraj):

The sine rule is used when we are given either a) two angles and one side, or b) two sides and a non-included angle.... and u see if u even try to apply cosine rule .....u dont have the value of 'c'....so in the cosine rule u will be having two variables

OpenStudy (matlee):

O sorry i wrote it wrong

OpenStudy (matlee):

Im trying to find the pcitrue

OpenStudy (matlee):

OpenStudy (matlee):

They included an angle so would it still be the sine rule

rishavraj (rishavraj):

yup....... :)

OpenStudy (matlee):

Ok so now i shall find the sine rule

OpenStudy (matlee):

nvm u wrote it

rishavraj (rishavraj):

yup use the equation \[\frac{ a }{ \sin A } = \frac{ b }{ \sin B }\] or u can say \[\frac{ \sin A }{ a } = \frac{ \sin B }{ b }\] u got the value of a,b,A get the value of sinA using calculator

OpenStudy (matlee):

|dw:1450398125463:dw|

rishavraj (rishavraj):

yup

OpenStudy (matlee):

9.04520517796

rishavraj (rishavraj):

whts tht???

OpenStudy (matlee):

7/sin70

rishavraj (rishavraj):

ooo yeahh

OpenStudy (matlee):

so what nowlol

rishavraj (rishavraj):

see on plugging the value of sinA \[\frac{ 7 }{ 0.9396926208 } = \frac{ 4 }{ \sin B }\] then u can write it as \[\frac{ 0.9396926208 }{ 7 } = \frac{ \sin B }{ 4 }\] so sin B/4 = 0.134241

rishavraj (rishavraj):

so sin B = 0.536972 and B = \[\sin^{-1} (0.134241)\] use calculator to get B

OpenStudy (matlee):

what but i dived 7 over sinA already but sina still exists? just to confirm

rishavraj (rishavraj):

plug the value of sin A sin A = 0.9396926208

rishavraj (rishavraj):

like 7/sin A = 7/0.9396926208 = 7.45

rishavraj (rishavraj):

so 7.45 = 4/sinB

OpenStudy (matlee):

for sin70 i got 0.77389068155

rishavraj (rishavraj):

nah nah sin 70 = 0.93969

OpenStudy (matlee):

Ok google was lieing to me i jsut saw the actual answer

OpenStudy (matlee):

So why do i do sin-1?

rishavraj (rishavraj):

\[B = \sin^{-1} (0.5369)\]

OpenStudy (matlee):

So in a caluclator i would put X instead of B?

rishavraj (rishavraj):

if u r using calculator on computer..then type 0.5369 and click on sin-1

OpenStudy (matlee):

\[7=\sin b/4\]

rishavraj (rishavraj):

hmmmm wht?????/ it supposed to be \[\frac{ \sin 70 }{ 7 } = \frac{ \sin B }{ 4 }\]
