How many grams of water can be produced when 11.7 moles of ethane (C2H6) react with excess oxygen gas? Unbalanced equation: C2H6 + O2 → CO2 + H2O Show, or explain, all of your work along with the final answer. Could someone help me with this?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

first balance the equation

OpenStudy (welshfella):

I'll help you start this:- 2 C2H6 + O2 -----> 2CO2 + 6H2O

OpenStudy (welshfella):

Now all you have to do is put a number before the O2

OpenStudy (welshfella):

there are 10 oxygen atoms on the right side of the equation

OpenStudy (welshfella):

so you need 10 oxygens on left side, right?

Its alright i finished the problem, idk if its right but we'll see
