OpenStudy (helpjebal):

How would I solve this? 0.397g H2O * 1 mol H2O/18.015g H2O ? now sure if I should put this in math cause it was in my chemistry class but it's an equation

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

That's not an equation.

OpenStudy (helpjebal):

yes it is... it's \[0.397g H2o \times \frac{ 1 mol H2O }{ 18.015g H2O }\]

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

An equation MUST have an equals sign.

OpenStudy (helpjebal):

sorry I forgot to put it. It would go on the end.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Ok, just divide the numbers and remember the result has the units of "mol."

OpenStudy (helpjebal):

so \[0.397\div18.015=0.022\]

OpenStudy (helpjebal):

0.022mol

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

You got it! 0.397 g of water = 0.022 mol of water

OpenStudy (helpjebal):

Thank you!

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Thanks for asking :-)
