i dont know how to do this at all..

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

We have the formula: \(\large F = \frac{9}{5}C + 32\) plug in 77 for f \(\large 77 = \frac{9}{5}C + 32\) subtract 32 from both sides: \(\large 77 - 32 = \frac{9}{5}C + 32 - 32\) \(\large 45 = \frac{9}{5}C\) divide both sides by \(\frac{9}{5}\) . \(\huge \frac{45}{\frac{9}{5}} = \frac{\frac{9}{5}}{\frac{9}{5}}\) \(\large \frac{45}{1} \times \frac{5}{9}\) c= 25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when dividing by 9/5 do you have to convert it to a decimal ? or how did you divide it?

OpenStudy (koikkara):

what all you need to do was, apply that formula to convert, \( (°F - 32) x 5/9 = °C \) @akroayee and you can check your answer with ^ answer.

OpenStudy (koikkara):

\((°F - 32) × 5/9 = °C\)

thanks :)
