This is a very simple question, I'll give a medal to anyone who gives me an answer. Is the equation: 5x^2 + 11y^2 + 4 A second degree polynomial, or are you supposed to add both the exponents and make it a fourth degree polynomial?

When you add them, the second degree polynomial doesn't change.
@Lovelarap Alright, thanks for all your help. :)
Your welcome!
@Lovelarap One question. If I was going to split the 11y^2 to make the trinomial a four-term polynomial, would 6x and 5x both have a ^2 after them?
You would need to multiply them but yes.
