OpenStudy (dayakar):

total men = number of total possible out comes = 120 + 280 +312 + 162 = 874 1)probability = p(60-64 height) = number of favorable out comes/total possible out comes = 120/874 [ find approximate value] and check the tables u can the answer

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

yep, @dayakar is correct. there are 120 men with heights between 60 and 64 inches, and a total of 874 men (adding the counts of men in each category) so the probability of a man being between 60 and 64 inches is 120/874. option 2 is clearly not correct, as it assigns an equal probability to each of the height groups, yet the number of men in each group is different1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its option A.
