Check my answer for medal? How many liters of methane gas (CH4) need to be combusted to produce 8.5 liters of water vapor, if all measurements are taken at the same temperature and pressure? Show all of the work used to solve this problem. CH4 (g) + 2O2 (g) yields CO2 (g) + 2H2O (g)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got ~16.997 Liters of CH4

OpenStudy (perl):

the ratio between CH4 (g) and H2O (g) is 1 : 2 x : 8.5 L = 1 : 2 volume of CH4 = 8.5/2 = 4.3 L

!!! can't believe i messed up the ratio Thanks perl!
