I have 5 Chemistry Questions left on my study guide. Will someone please help me?

OpenStudy (221emily):

1. Write a balanced net ionic equation for the following reaction. \[H _{3}PO _{4}(aq)+Ca(OH)_{2}(aq) rightarrow Ca _{3}(PO _{4})_{2}(aq)+H _{2}O(l)\] I have to show my work, and I think i kinda know how to do it but the Subscripts mess me up. I don't know what numbers need to be in subscript or not.

:P idek lol srry

OpenStudy (abb0t):

Make a table of what you have on left and right. The subscript means you have 2, and the number in front of it means you also have 2 of that ENTIRE molecule. For example, you have \(\sf \color{black}{H_3PO_4}\) IF i was to say you had \(\sf \color{red}{2}\)\(\sf \color{black}{H_3PO_4}\) that means you have 2 phosphoric acid molecules, meaning you now have 4 hydrogens instead of 2. It sort of follows the distributive property you should have learned in pre-algebra. You also have 2 Phosphorus atoms, and 8 oxygen atoms. With balancing, write a table like this: |dw:1453144973556:dw| Try and finish it. The point of balancing is to have EQUAL AMOUNTS of atoms on BOTH sides. because by law of conservation of matter, energy cannot be created nor destroyed. So, what goes in must also come back out! Try it.
