This equation represents Newton's Second Law of Motion, F=ma. It shows the relationship of force, mass, and acceleration. If the mass of an object is tripled, and the force acting on it is doubled, how will the object's acceleration be affected? A. Acceleration will be one-half the original value. B. Acceleration will be six times the original value. C. Acceleration will be two-thirds the original value. D. Acceleration will be two times the original value.
I think D.

uhmmmm
@imqwerty halp!
Already tried that lol
lol
he will come in a min he said hheeh
okay now 1st lets say that the Force is \(F_1\) acceleration is \(a_1\) mass is \(m_1\) put these values into that formula and tell what u get
:/ a1 x m1 = F1 :/
yes correct \(F_1=a_1m_1\) now isolate \(a_1\)
If you plug in 350 for force, 75 for mass, 5 for acceleration and then do as told it would look like 700=225*3.111111111 2/3 of 5 is 3.333333 1/5 of 5 is 2.5. Since 2/3 5 is closest, the answer would be B right? :?
*:/
your initial acceleration was 5 and your final acceleration is \(\large \frac{2}{3}~5\) right?
Yah, if i did it right
yeah thats correct :) so read the options and see which one looks alright
C? I said B earlier
yes C is correct because its two-thirds of initial acceleration but B is clearly wrong because B says that new acc will be 6 times of original and original acc is 5 6 times of 5 is 30 which is way more than the new acc which we calculated
Thanks, can you check this one? According to this equation, F=ma, how much force is needed to accelerate a 70-kg runner at 5m/s2? A. 350 N B. 350 m/s C. 14 N D. 14 m/s
I think it's D
no its not D btw Force has this unit-> Newton (N) and option D has other unit so its clearly wrong and just use this formula to get the answer-> \(F=ma\)
So it's C
no its not
how did u get C?
Never mind. :P I just calculated. 70 x 5 is 350 N
It's A.
yes :) its A
OMG!!! I got 7 people tagging me right now!!! I am trying my best not to Procrastinate lol. Can you help with some more, @imqwerty?
lol but i hav to leave now x( i m here till i write my speech so yeah i can help with a few more :)
