I just did the the experiment where you put anti acid tblets into water into a balloon and i have this one question and i literally asked my parents and they dont know what to do either "If each balloon is filled with carbon dioxide gas at 20 Celsius and 1 atmosphere, calculate the mass and the number of moles of carbon dioxide in each balloon at meximum inflation, use the ideal gas law in you calculation" I will medal:) i sure do need help. i dont understand this. @madirax
@damirax
great this is better
okay i need help asap
I know you need help
so where do i even start?
what I will first do it right now so it is going to be scientific proofed
I honestly dont trust you @damirax
BEcause you are helping me or being serious and you are spelling things wrong
okay well are you gonna help me or not.
i expeact you to help me!
okay well if you arent going to help just go away please
How?
just leave if you arent going to help
you are wasting my time
*** "If each balloon is filled with carbon dioxide gas at 20 Celsius and 1 atmosphere**** Do you know the Gas Law?
*Ideal Gas Law
Uhm i dont recall hearing or learning about it:( @phi
Something tells me you are expected to know it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_laws#Combined_and_Ideal_Gas_Laws because I think that is what you use to solve this problem
okay so i need to do Pv=nRT? How? @phi
**calculate the mass and the number of moles of carbon dioxide in each balloon at ** which of those variables do we have values for? which do we want to "solve for"? any guesses?
nope im so confused haha im terribleee at this
okay but how would i know how much carbon diovide was in each balloon?
all i was told to do was measure the circumference of each of the 3 balloons every minute
@phi
read what each of the variables stand for in the wikipedia article which of them do we know ?
we know the volume but not temperature becaause i wasnt told to take it @phi
Sorrry im so bad at this! thanks for actaully helping me! so what we need to find is mass and moles how do we find them?
First you need to figure out what "parts" of the Ideal Gas Law equation you know Pv=nRT do you know P V ? n ? R ? T ?
i know V for sure @phi
you also know R because that is a constant that you look up
what other variable is given? you stated it in your initial question
what other two variables are given? you stated them in your initial question
20 Celsius and 1 atmosphere!!!!!
