Which is true about the four atoms shown in figures A, B, C, and D? (Ill fan and medal!) A. A, B, and C are different elements, while D is an isotope of C. B. A, C, and D are different elements, while B is an isotope of D. C. A, B, and D are different elements, while C is an isotope of B. D. B, C, and D are different elements, while A is an isotope of C. https://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/939000_939500/939155/1/045694a7dcbbf6c72d19d6c5fbd03a3c622e86d8/MS2_PHY_05_02_109__isotopes.jpg
@Awolflover1 @RhondaSommer @just_one_last_goodbye any of you know?
sorry hun; ive got no clue
alright, thanks anyways
@mayankdevnani do you happen to know?
Any Random Guess?
what is isotope?
i dont kno mayan and awolf, idk A maybe
isotope=same atomic number but different mass number
ok
so find mass number ! mass number=no.of nucleons=no of protons+no of neutrons
A is 6 B is 7 C is 7 and D is 8
or find atomic number=no of protons
if same atomic number,then those are isotopes
A an b are isotopes and C and D are
so it is A?
@mayankdevani is it A
what the heck did he block me
@Ella4184 help
I would have to say C
The number of protons is what determines the element. If two atoms have the same number of protons but different number of neutrons, they are isotopes
THANK YOU
Anytime:)
