An airplane over the Pacific sights an island at a 20° angle of depression. If the plane is 475 m above water, how many kilometers is it from a point 475 m above the island? A. 1.31 m B. 17.3 m C. 1.73 km D. 1.31 km

can u draw a rough figure
I tried but don't know how..
Okay. In this problem you want to use \(tan\). So this is what we will plug in: \(tan20° = 475/x \) Now you just want to get \(x\) to one side and isolate it: \(x = 475/tan20°\) Now that will equal \( 1305m\), which will then turn into \( 1.31km \) So that is the final answer! D. \(1.31km\)
