x in absolute value has no restrictions. The square root does cause some restrictions on the domain because you can't take the square root of a negative number.

It seems I'm having a problem. It requires calculating negative square roots. I could just place an "i" after each answer but then where do I graph a value of 99i?

I was graphing values from x=-10 to x=10. So when x=-10 we have abs (-10) +square root (1- (-10^2)) 10 +square root (1- 100) 10 + square root (-99) WHere does it say the domain is from x=-1 to x=1?
