A block of mass 4 kg is placed on another block B of mass 5kg, and the block B rests on a smooth horizontal table.If the minimum force that can be applied on A so that both the blocks move together is 12N,the maximum force that can be applied on B for the blocks to move together will be
@mayankdevnani
gotta say, question is bamboozling if the table is smooth but yet there is friction between the 2 blocks, a force of \(\delta\) N should cause both blocks to move - they are "connected" by friction. maybe a drawing might make it clearer? eg in which direction do the forces act? :p
No ,seriously the direction of forces is not given... N what I came up with was like for the force applied on A We can say that both force and friction will guide its motion and if we talk about the motion of block B that would be simply an effect of friction acting on it... Similarly I did it for force applied on B bt got confused rather....
i got 27 N as answer :)
How?
right or wrong ?
Right
