OpenStudy (samigupta8):

The reaction X----->Y is an exothermic reaction. Activation energy of the reaction for X into Y is 150kJ/mol.Enthalpy of reaction is 135kJ/mol .The activation energy of the reverse reaction Y---->X will be??

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

@priyar

OpenStudy (rushwr):

What do u think about this ?

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

Well ! I think that there is some proper way out to solve such problem which i m unaware of...

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Well this is my opinion on this: They have told us that the reaction is exothermic so the enthalpy change should be -135kjmol^-1

OpenStudy (rushwr):

So if u plot a rough graph for an exothermic reaction it will look like this. |dw:1456316075505:dw|
