Solving rational equations: Alg II: Will medal best answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whats the question?

OpenStudy (study_buddy99):

\[\frac{ 1 }{ 2v }=\frac{ 5v+15 }{ v^2-6v }- \frac{ v+6 }{ 2v^2-12v }\]

OpenStudy (study_buddy99):

...help?

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):

\(\Large \frac{ 1 }{ 2v }=\frac{ 5v+15 }{ v^2-6v }- \frac{ v+6 }{ 2v^2-12v }\) \(\Large \frac{ 1 }{ 2v }=\frac{ 5v+15 }{ v(v-6) }- \frac{ v+6 }{ 2v(v-6)}\) multiply by \(v\) allover get this- \(\Large \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 5v+15 }{ (v-6) }- \frac{ v+6 }{ 2(v-6)}\) simplify the left side find the least common denominator and simplify you get this- \(\Large \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 2(5v+15)-(v+6) }{2( v-6) }\) \(\Large \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 10v+30-v-6 }{2( v-6) }\) \(\Large \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }=\frac{ 9v+24 }{2( v-6) }\) multiply both sides with \(2(v-6)\) and simplify a bit u get this- \(v-6=9v+24\) \(8v=-30\) \(v=-3.75\)

thank you sooo much!
