i have an environment science that i am confuse about?

This is a little about Open Systems. Open systems are much more common. In an open system, necessary resources are renewed and exchanged on a regular basis. Many ecosystems, for example, rely on the sun to constantly import energy into their basic cycles. Then there's a limited amount of nutrients to go around -- such as carbon, nitrogen and phosphorous -- and they're constantly cycled around. Some common cycles include the hydrological cycle, rock cycle and the carbon cycle.

A sample one is: I chose Feather River for my Eco-system in Oroville California . The limiting factors in my Eco-system are the current, sunlight, temperature of the water and the water level . Feather River has a strong current that limits the types of fish that are in the water . The temperature is a major factor because the direct runoff from the melting snow causes the water to be very cold which also effects the depth and width of the river . There is no shade so sunlight shines down which allows algae to flourish . This ecosystem is an open system because there is a steady flow of water going through . Defining the limiting factors of an ecosystem are important because it affects what type of species or how a species survives in the ecosystem . The cold water effects the diversity of fish in the waters . The current effects what type are fish travel through the water . Only fish with streamlined bodies can travel efficiently through the water and they tend to go against the current . The rivers water level is low in the beginning of summer but soon rises when the temperature rises . The temperature of the river does not change, it only gets warmer further down stream .

The parts of an ecosystem that are not alive, like rocks, weather, and sunlight, are the abiotic factors. Biotic and abiotic factors affect the organisms in an ecosystem. Biotic factors may include things like predation, disease, competition, parasitism, consumption, and symbiosis.

and this last one i am really confuse sorry if i am bugging you but i not good at this subject but i do try to learn 4. In one to three paragraphs, describe dynamic changes that have occurred in the ecosystem you chose. Consider whether your ecosystem is degraded, restored, or neither, and list organisms that were once in the ecosystem but are no longer there.

Those intrinsic ecological functions through which an ecosystem becomes self-regulating, self-sustaining, and capable of recovery from external forces (for example, damaging storm events). These intrinsic processes may cause continual change in biotic composition and structure at specific localities. Collectively, these changes represent internal flux, rather than substantive and permanent alteration of the ecosystem regionally. That is the definition for ecosystem dynamics. Degraded land is land that has lost some degree of its natural productivity due to human-caused processes. Soil degradation is defined as a change in the soil health status resulting in a diminished capacity of the ecosystem to provide goods and services for its beneficiaries. Degraded soils have a health status such, that they do not provide the normal goods and services of the particular soil in its ecosystem. Land degradation has a wider scope than both soil erosion and soil degradation in that it covers all negative changes in the capacity of the ecosystem to provide goods and services (including biological and water related goods and services – and in LADA’s vision - also land-related social and economic goods and services).
