OpenStudy (farranheit):

PLEASE HELP ME!! explain how you would determine the percent yield of a reaction if you have the given amount of the reactants and the amount of the product actually collected in the lab

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Well given the initial starting products you would have to set up a conversion to find out the maxinum amount of products that could be produced from this initial starting product. Then using the equation that compares acual yield with theoretical yield you can find the percent yield of the reaction.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

The maximum possible yield you determine through stoichometry is the theoretical yield. The products actually collected in the lab is the actual yield.

OpenStudy (farranheit):

Thank you so much!
