RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

Generally, when going from left to right across a period on the periodic table: atomic radii decrease ionic radii increase electronegativity decreases valence electron number decreases @Sweetburger @MissSmartiez

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

a I believe.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

oh i thought it was d

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Typo

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

For any given period, the Atomic Radius decreases, I think, sweetburger?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

As you go left to right EN increases and Valence electrons number increase

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so d is right or wrong?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Yes @MissSmartiez this is due to the increase number of protons which increase the pull on the furthest electrons pulling them closer which in result decreases atomic radius.

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

D would not be correct

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Alright.

RhondaSommer (rhondasommer):

so a is right? because of the pull on electrons?

OpenStudy (sweetburger):

Yes a is correct.
